New Product (Sept/Oct) Blog Hop

For my project tonight I created a card using our Bloom with Grace papers and a new Thin Cut that is featured in our new Annual Idea book as well. 

The patterned papers are all from the Bloom with Grace paper pack and the card stock featured is Canary and our new (beautiful) Desert Rose, with French Vanilla in the very back. 

Lately I have been trying up my card game with regards to the inside of my cards, for the longest time I never stamped or did anything in them thinking I would when I send them I would personalize them but I never had the time so while the space was nice for a personal note, I love playing with the insides too!

Hello and Happy Monday! We are now in September and I am super excited to finally get to show off the new goodies that launched with Close to My Heart on September 1st. But first, this weeks challenge....our challenge is called "Wood you rather?" It is open to interpretation but I took it as wood....wood grain paper, my favourites so I am all in for this one!

Happy Birthday - AHSC 383

Hello! Today I have another card for you from my Timber workshop that we had this last weekend. I made this card in an attempt for a more masculine card. I loved the Sapphire and New England Ivy with the hint of ruby in this paper and played off it. I am not good with masculine cards or projects at all, it is one of my challenges but I do try!

You Are.... - H2H Challenges

 Hello and Happy Monday! I have a card for you today from my Timber workshop that I had this past weekend, This was one of my favourite cards from the workshop. I have had this stamp for a bit now and have wanted to use it but inspiration had not come to me. I love the simple little flower and how it worked with the papers. 

In Toffee ink, I stamped all of the uplifting and inspirational messages with the word enough. I just think so many of us need to hear this these days. We are all doing our best and we are all enough!

Walk on the Wild Side - H2H Challenges

 Hello! Happy Monday to you. I am back with you today with a card I made for the H2H Challenges Design team. Our challenge or theme this week is a walk on the wild side. I chose to use one of my new stamps for this one and while I do know these beautiful animals live out in the wild I do not believe they are a "wild" group of animals, as they always seem so calm and serene to me. 

I just adore these koala's and this entire stamp set. With all that is STILL going on in the world right now, I decided to do a Hang in there card.... Sometimes I feel we are all just barely hanging on so if we can let others know they are not alone then that is everything to me right now.

Use your scraps - Technique Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the CTMH Consultants Technique blog hop, tonight consultants from all over will be showcasing our projects using only scraps. Tonight is all about how to make the most of the left overs from our previous projects. It could be ribbon, paper, shimmer trim, card stock, any kind of scraps that you might have, we want to see you use it up and what you do with it. If you are joining me from the ever talented Melissa Robinson welcome! 

For my project tonight I tried to use as many scraps as I could. I used the left over papers from the Timber paper pack. Now in terms of full disclosure I do have full sheets of this paper pack still but on his layout I only used paper or cardstock that had been previously cut for another project. I used the Sapphire and New England Ivy plaid on another layout so I had some pieces left. For the card stock, I keep every scrap I have so I never need to cut into a paper for small embellishments like the stars (cut with my Cricut using the Timber collection) and the photo mats, some scraps are bigger than others.

Timber - Cross Canada Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Cross Canada blog hop for the Timber paper suite. We are thrilled to have you joining us tonight as we hop along from consultant to consultant to see what they have done with the Timber paper pack. If you are joining me from Brae, welcome! 

I created this layout for my Timber monthly workshop. I was inspired by a fellow consultant Diane Antony who created a stunning layout very similar to this one. I used the concept of the triangles and just used the paper in different ways. Hers is also more outdoorsy and mine is just more for the men in your life.

Floral Celebration - SOTM BH

Hello and welcome to the August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! Tonight Close to My Heart consultants from all over the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will be coming together to showcase artwork they created using the August Stamp of the Month - Floral Celebration. 

If you are joining me from Gina Brandstetter, welcome, you are in the right place and if you are starting here..welcome!

Tonight I have two cards I created using this stamp set. I love how I got two completely different looks just by changing the colours I used. I used both of our current paper packs Timber and Summer Vibes, I actually used some scraps I had...I love when I can use up my scraps!

Card 1 - Timber. 
I used the wood grain paper from the Timber paper pack and paired it with the large bracket thin cut. My ink colours are some of my favourites, Ruby, Saffron, Fern and Sapphire. And just added a few clear sparkles to finish it off. 

Card 2 - Summer Vibes

I used some Glacier, Candy Apple and White Daisy card stock. On this one I random stamped the flowers in Candy Apple, Lemonade, Glacier, Nectarine, and Smoothie. I stamped the sentiment in Black ink to help ground it a bit. I used some red Shimmer Trim, the scalloped oval is from the Stitched Together Cricut Collection.
