Sending Smiles - H2H Photo Inspiration

Hello and Happy Monday to you! I come to you today with another design for the H2H challenges design team and this time it is a photo inspiration challenge. Use the photo below to inspire your project in any way.

Here is the photo for inspiration:

And here is what I was created:

I was inspired by the soft colours of the card, it was almost muted colours to me and I love Green so I ran with it but using Mint for a softer look. I used a sponge to sponge on Mint, Ballerina and Wisteria and then used the Stamp of the Month, Floral Celebration to stamp the flowers in black. I second generation stamped some ink spots in Wisteria behind the sentiment. I finished it off with a scallop thin cut border and some White Dots.

Floral Celebration - SOTM BH

Hello and welcome to the August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! Tonight Close to My Heart consultants from all over the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will be coming together to showcase artwork they created using the August Stamp of the Month - Floral Celebration.

If you are joining me from Gina Brandstetter, welcome, you are in the right place and if you are starting here..welcome!

Tonight I have two cards I created using this stamp set. I love how I got two completely different looks just by changing the colours I used. I used both of our current paper packs Timber and Summer Vibes, I actually used some scraps I had...I love when I can use up my scraps!

Card 1 - Timber.
I used the wood grain paper from the Timber paper pack and paired it with the large bracket thin cut. My ink colours are some of my favourites, Ruby, Saffron, Fern and Sapphire. And just added a few clear sparkles to finish it off.

Card 2 - Summer Vibes
I used some Glacier, Candy Apple and White Daisy card stock. On this one I random stamped the flowers in Candy Apple, Lemonade, Glacier, Nectarine, and Smoothie. I stamped the sentiment in Black ink to help ground it a bit. I used some red Shimmer Trim, the scalloped oval is from the Stitched Together Cricut Collection.

It is now time to "hop" on over to the very talented Colleen Dewis
Until next time, happy crafting!

Gnome-body like you - H2H Colour challenge

Hello and welcome to another week and another challenge from H2H challenges. Today I have a card I created using our theme of the week a colour challenge, your challenge, should you accept it is to use the colours Peacock, Sage, Glacier and Saffron on a project together.

So funny story, I knew I was going to be away when this challenge came due, we are social distancing at my in-laws cottage for the week but I came prepared to create, or so I thought. I packed a bunch of my easier projects to work on up here such as Cut Above Kits and the Craft with Heart so I needed minimal supplies brought with but would still be able to get some crafty creative time in too. I also packed a smaller bag with the supplies I would need to create the project for this week and sadly as we were packing the car up, some how that bag never got in there, I thought I saw it but alas it was not there. I did have some scraps of Glacier, Peacock and Sage from an Aurora kit I had been working on so I quickly put together the best I could with literally those card stock scraps, one of the two stamps sets I brought with me and my trusty black ink and micro tip scissors. While it is definitely not one of my best cards, it does show that you can create with minimal supplies.

Paper:
- Aurora
- Glacier, Sage, and Peacock scraps of card stock

Stamp:
- Z3741 Gnome Matter

Ink:

- Timber Card Making Workshop

Ink:

Thinking of you - H2H Challenges

Hello and happy Monday to you. Today I am coming to you with a card from my Summer vibes card workshop. I created this card using two of my favourite tools which is great because that is our challenge with week...showcasing our favourite tools.

As I said I used 2 of my favourite tools on this card....my first is my stamps...I love my stamps and I have so far too many of them, but that is another story. I love the versatility they give me, I can use them on cards, layouts, home decor items, change the colours, they are just so versatile. My next favourite tool is the Thin Cuts and my Cuttlebug. I have a Cricut Expression Air and a Silhouette (Which is right up there as a favourite product too) but the Thin cuts are perfect when I just need a quick circle or whatever shape it is and I don't need to get my computer out to just cut something quick.

Products Used:

Paper:
- Sumer Vibes
- Lemonade, Candy Apple, Black, and White Daisy card stock

Stamp:
- D1933 Treasured Memories

Ink:
- Black and Nectarine

Thin Cuts:
- Scalloped Circle
- Stitched Circle

Embellishments:
- Clear Sparkles
