We are Family - H2H Challenges

This last Saturday was International Scrapbooking Day and while I did not get much time to play on Saturday I did get a bit of scrappy time through the weekend and I have created a workshop layout that also just happens to work with our theme for H2H challenges this week. The theme for this weeks challenge is Celebrating Connections. That could be a connection with family, friends, a hobby, sport, what ever you connect with.

I chose to do a layout about family, I have some family portraits that I think will work great with this paper pack so I plan to use

Flowers For You - SOTM BH

Hello and welcome to the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Blog Month for May 2021! Tonight we are featuring projects we have created using the Flowers for You Stamp of the Month. If you are joining me from Melinda Everitt you are in the right spot. If you are starting here, welcome! There are 18 consultants participating and to see what each of us created, just click the links at the bottom of each posts.

Here are the two cards I made using Flowers for You the May Stamp of the Month. The first card is a note card with a hole that was cut out of the top part of the card using the circle thin cut from the shaker thin set. I used the Hillside Cottage papers. On this one I used my Trip-Blend markers: Gold Brown Blend, Antique Pink, Dull Green, and Orange Blend and finished it off with Black Bursts.

My next card I made using just card stock White Daisy and Black. I used the new to CTMH Distress Oxide Inks: Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. I used the new sunburst thin cut to create a stencil and used the blending tools to rub it on and blend it. I stamped the image and then used the Stitched Circles  to cut it out and coloured with my tri-blend markers. I used Orange Blend, Purple Blend, Blue Turquoise Blend, Orange blend and Pale Pink Blend. To finish it off I stamped the Happy Birthday and added some White Dots.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I welcome any and all feedback. If you would like help with purchasing any of the products mentioned my post today, please contact your local CTMH Maker. If you do not have a CTMH Maker and are in Canada I can absolutely assist you in ordering. If you are in the United States, New Zealand or Australia, I can help you locate a Maker local to you for ordering.

It is now time to "hop" on over to Katy Taylor at ScrappinKaty and see what fabulous project she has for you tonight.

Old & New - H2H Challenges

Hello! I hope this finds you in a good place. Today I have a project for you for the Heart 2 Heart (H2H) Design Team. Our current challenge for you is called Old & New. We want you to combine something old with something new.

For this challenge I combined my new rainbow thin cuts with an old (retired) stamp set. Things have been so heavy where I live, we are in another full lockdown, school has moved back to remote online learning and it is taking its toll on everyone. I wanted to make something bright and cheery and I had not used this super cute Rainbow Thin Cut yet. Once I decided this was my new, I looked through my older stamp sets and came up with a set called Wordfetti when I saw the sentiment "You Brighten my Day" It just worked so well with this rainbow and there was my something old.

I kept the card simple with just a mat in Lagoon and a second in White Daisy. The rainbow is cut from Candy Apple, Nectarine, Lemonade, and Glacier, the clouds are White Daisy. I am not sure who will get this card, but when I find the person who needs it, I will be sure they get it and hope it brightens their day.

Happy - H2H Challenges

Hello and Happy Monday! I can not believe we are already in April, how is this happening? While I am floored at how fast this year is going I am so ready for the warmer weather!

Today I have project for you for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge design team and our challenge for this week is What's Your Angle? We are all about Angles on your projects.

Here is my creation. I was whole inspired by the CTMH Daisy Meadows Cricut collection. I basically used the layout as is. I did use the contour key to remove some flowers it had showing as I knew I wanted to use the stickers from the Daisy Meadows sticker sheet. I swapped out the Mint card stock with the Mint Floral piece, but outside of that I used the layout exactly as it was shown in the Cricut collection which was nice as it was so fast and easy to put it together.

Products Used:

Paper:
- Daisy Meadows with Sticker Sheet
- Peach, Mint, Smoothie, Fern, Sundance, Peacock and White Daisy card stock

Embellisments:
- Black and White Enamel Dots.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I welcome any and all feedback. If you would like help with purchasing any of the products mentioned my post today, please contact your local CTMH Maker. If you do not have a CTMH Maker and are in Canada I can absolutely assist you in ordering.
