Life is Sweet - BTF CHallenge

One of our family traditions that we all enjoy is making a trip to a relatively local ice cream shop in near by St. Thomas called Shaw's we typically go every year on Victoria Day weekend to kick off the summer season and we make several trips out there to enjoy their delicious ice cream. My girls love it there and we all love the ice cream. Spending time with our girls over something as simple as ice cream is one of the best memories we have each summer so of course I have to document our trip and that life truly is sweet as we were blessed to have our 3 muchkins with us...life truly is sweet!

Crazy, Silly, Fun - BTF challenge

This week / month is all about Some Kinda Wonderful as that is the paper pack we used for this months workshops. Today I have a layout that is inspired by one of my customers sons. He is a cutie pie but he is crazy, silly and oh so much fun and always keeps her on her toes so this one is for you little buddy! I really do try to customize my layouts to my customers / friends so that they are usable immediately where possible and the pictures are in their scrapbooks on pages and not a pile of pictures and a pile of unused layouts.

Friends make life fun - BTF Challenges

Today is another challenge post and another project from my Dreamin' Big workshop. Today is a layout that I made and is inspired by my girls and their friends. It is so fun watching the girls grow and learn about themselves through their friendships.

Play like no one is watching - BTF Challenges

Hi again...two days in a row that I have new art for you. Today I bring you my design team work and a layout I did for my Dreamin' Big workshop.

The title of the layout goes across the two pages and is "Play like no one is watching" which is a play on the popular saying of Dance like no one is watching. I just love watching my kids play and there are many times they are busy playing and creating away in the basement while I am working on my CTMH projects and they think I am working but I am really watching and listening to them and are amazed by their creativity and talents...and they have no idea just how closely I am paying attention!

I also know my customers all have kids and grand kids that they scrapbook so this play theme worked well for all of us. I am sorry for the lack of pictures, due to some privacy concerns, I do not post pictures of my girls who will ultimately end up on this layout.

Wild & Free - H2H Challenges

Whew, here we are at another Monday and I have survived my 3rd straight weekend of workshops! I love having people over and helping them to share their memories and their pictures so I love it but it has required a lot of creative time on my part...I know huh horrible that I have to scrapbook and make cards, oh shucks...cant make dinner, these cards will not make themselves....lol Ok so I might have milked it a bit with the hubby and kids but I do a lot for them. So any hoots over the next few days / weeks you will be seeing a lot of the work I have been working on all these weeks.

Happy Easter - BTF Challenges

This last weekend I had my Hello Lovely workshop for some fabulous ladies who come out and play with paper with me each month and this is one of the layouts we made. I do apologize, I know my photo skills need to get better! 

The challenge this week at BTF is use CTMH compliments on your project and I did, not a lot and not huge ones but they are there. Do you see the heart and arrow? Those are part of the Hello Lovely compliments package. They are amazingly fun to work with, they have some dimension to them and are soft. I love them and want more for sure! I also featured the little bunnies from the Stamp of the Month for this month! The Fern and Sorbet squares are 4 X 6, 4 X 3. and 3 X 3 photo mats. I do not post pictures of our girls for privacy reasons so this was taken before I added their pictures!

Snow Fun - BTF Challenges

Another layout...whoot whoo! I love paper crafting but my passion is scrapbooking, my journey into paper crafting started in scrapbooking and I drifted into card making and while I love both, my bigger passion is scrapbooking. 

I loved playing with City Sidewalks and this layout made me really step out of my comfort zone. I have bling on here, lots of sparkle. My girls love the sparkle and no lying they were stalking me for any scraps of the glitter paper. I also love the diversity of this paper, I love how it looks like nothing like the layout I posted yesterday. I do apologize for the quality of the picture, while I love scrapbooking, I still have not figured out how to get a great picture of the layouts.

O Chrstmas Tree! - H2H Challenges

Hold onto your seats, I have a layout for todays project. I have been playing with City Sidewalks and I really loved working with this paper. I know I say that about all of them but it really did help me start getting into the Christmas spirit.  

This was a cute sweet layout called O' Christmas Tree. 

All products are Close to my heart except the title of O' Christmas Tree, I got that from the Silhouette store and I believe the designer is either Kollette Hall or Lori Whitlock.

Today I bring a layout for the Heart 2 Heart challenges and the theme this week is Perfect 10! Your project can be anything as long as 10 is somehow represented in it. 

This is a layout I did for my last workshop and it has 10 stars on it. The papers are from Florence and the title was cut out using my Silhouette, I do not recall the fonts I used, sorry!

Cricut Cuts - Between the Folds Challenge

This week at Between the Folds he challenge is to use Cricut cuts, but if you do not have a Cricut, no worries you can use thin cuts as well. I used our new thin cuts on this layout, I find they are so easy to use. I also used my Cricut too. 

The Flamingos are from the thin cuts, the black banners were from the Cricut and the best friends title is from my Silhouette, I use them all! All products are Close to my Heart.

Dance - H2H challenges

This week at Heart 2 heart challenges our them is sports! Create a project with any kind of sport theme. I have 3 girls so dance is right up our alley. They do sports such as swimming and gymnastics but i really wanted to get this layout done as it brings back so many memories. Dance was the girls first activity we enrolled them in when they moved in with us, they were so young, so little and so sweet, I just need to get these pictures scrapbooked as they mean so much to me! I am not able to post pictures of the girls at this point, so the layout is without pictures at this point.

TBW - Throwback week at H2H challenges

Fun & Sun

I am a bit late in posting my project this week, I was busy with a charity event at my girls school and a weekend crop that I attended this past weekend. This week our theme is Regatta, use the paper pack or the colours of our Regatta paper pack. The colours are Pomegrante, Sapphire, and Glacier.

Here is a layout I made using Regatta, this is based off the Workshops your Way but I changed it up a bit and added a title and some different embellishments.

Frozen - H2H Challenges

Let it go.. Let it go....

Oh sorry, I saw Frozen was this weeks challenge at H2H challenges and instantly I heard Elsa singing away, actually it was the 3 little munchkins singing at the top of their lungs but it is the same thing right?

In all seriousness, the theme is Frozen. Do you have a little Elsa, Anna or Olaf? Are you buried in snow and ice? Or do you like Frozen frothy drinks by a pool? We want to see what comes to mind when you think of the word Frozen.

For me, it is cold, winter weather that I am not a fan of. Growing up in a tropical environment has given me a love / hate relationship with these Canadian winters. I love having snow on the ground, I don't even mind the cold weather.....in moderation. Lets not get all crazy now, a month or two, fine, but 4-6 months of it, not such a fan of it. 

Anyhoots, we took our girls to a local lake that they often spend time swimming in during the summer and to their surprise it was Frozen in February. They loved actually running around on the "water" the ice and knowing that in the summer that is where they would be swimming. For me, it was surreal to see snow on sand, frozen water with lighthouses in the distance. It was a fun afternoon outside even though it was bitterly cold!
