L8r Sk8r Birthday

L8r Sk8r…That is how I feel right now. I feel like I am saying see ya later to all my crafty pursuits and neglecting my creativity and my blog….I feel this way because I am actually. The good news is that it is temporary. I am in the process of organizing a huge vendor event at my daughters school and attached to that is a bunch of different activities for kids. It is a huge under taking and this year I am flying solo, my helper from last year was not able to assist in the planning so I go it alone! Why do I bring this up, well because it has taken me away from my creative time and I am feeling, I feel I am letting my blog down and just slacking, but as I said, good news…the event is in a week and half. Once it comes and goes I will be free again to be me and creative and enjoy all things crafty and inky!

So anyways, having explained my lack of posts for the last few weeks, here is this weeks entry for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I took a bit of creative liberty with this one and rather than flowers I chose balloons, I have a slew of boy birthdays coming up in the next little bit and needed to get started on making some of the cards.

For this card I used the retired L8r Sk8r papers and I cut the balloons out from our Cricut Artiste cartridge. I stamped two of them with back ground stamps from SOM April 2012 - You Are… and C1429 Party Pennants. I used Pear and Outdoor Denim for my ink colours. The stink of the balloons is our new Baker's Twine Neutral Metallic Assortment.

I hope my nephew likes it, if not I am sure he will love his gift!

Thanks for stopping by!
Brandi
