Happy Monday to you!
This week is a big week for all of us moms out there, it is our day to shine...Mother's Day! For some it will be a day of pampering, a day of being spoiled but for some of us it is a day of mixed emotions. This year will be my 21st without my mother so for me that is bitter sweet and I honour her every day, not just Mother's Day. On a happier note it will be my 4th year that I get to celebrate Mother's Day as a mom and I am hopeful that this year will be a better Mother's Day for my girls and I. For some reason our girls fall apart on Mother's Day and it never ends up being a good or fun day but we can dream. On this day we also hour my Mother in law, I am very lucky to have this wonderful woman as my mother in law, she is the kindest, caring and loving woman. Not everyone has great in laws, I hit the in law jack pot!
Now onto the project, I was feeling a bit nostalgic today so I broke out some retired paper that I had not played with in a long time. I also wanted to use this tree from the Keep Your Chin Up set, my mother in law loves trees and nature and I love that the tree has little flowers amongst the leaves and it is perfect for her, I also wanted to show it in a different type of card!
