Unicorn Love - H2H Ribbon

Hello....Happy Monday once again! Here in Canada we are celebrating Victoria Day today, the official kick off to summer holiday. Our kick off to summer weekend usually resembles a winter or late spring weekend, cold, wet, and gloomy and this year is no different! But while the kidlets and those out camping may not like it...it does make for good paper crafting weather.

I had a workshop last night so I was playing around in my basement scrapbooking today while the kids played and I was actually quite productive. I got 2 layouts done and several cards....I was quite happy with that, I am not typically that productive when the munchkins are around.

Here is one of those cards....

OMG it is Unicorn....I am shocked I got as much done today...as you can see rainbow paper and unicorns....my girls (ages 7, 8, and 9) were drooling over the paper and thin cuts on this one...."its so pretty mommy....can we have some?" Why yes you can, here are a few each from the extras of my workshop so go create something awesome while mommy works (they LOVE my extra bits and pieces!)

So about this card, it is a note card and can be left blank. I did stamp the inside with the sentiment "always be yourself unless you can be a unicorn then always be a unicorn."

Products used:

Paper:
- Little Dreamer
- Lemon and White Daisy card stock

Embellishments:
- White and Gold ribbon
- Gold Glitter Gems.

Ink:
- Glacier, Lagoon, and Black

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work, I welcome feedback of any kind. If you want to play along with the challenge this week at H2H join us here!

Until next time, happy crafting!

Teeny Tiny - H2h Challenges

Hello! Guess what, I am LATE, LATE, LATE! Those who know me would not be surprised by that as I tend to always seem to be running late with the munchkins in my life! So this post was supposed to be up yesterday but life as it often does got away from me but my theory is better late than never!

Here is a card I made for the Heart 2 Heart Challenges design team. The challenge this week is teeny tiny. You can interpret that however you want. I chose to go with what I consider to be a small stamp. I often buy stamp sets that have smaller stamps and never get around to using them though I see others use them on cards and layouts and they look great, so I decided to break one out. Now, how is this for hoarding...this is the Stamp of the Month from December 2012 and I am using it for the first time.

Paper:
- Little Dreamer
- Glacier, Lemon, and White Daisy card stock

Stamp:
- S1212 Year Round Cheer (retired)

Ink:
- Black and Lemon

Embellishments:
- Little Dreamer Glitter Gems Z3321

We would love to see you play along with us at H2H challenges. I would love to see your take on the Teeny Tiny theme!

Thanks! - H2H Challenges

Today I have a thank you card that I made for a gentleman in my families life who recently was honoured for 15 years of volunteer service in our community and province and he came into our life through his volunteer work and has had a significant role in our lives and the lives of our wee ones. He drives our wee ones to various appointments that we are not able to attend with them. And that is why there are cars on this thank you card. Our volunteer driver has a red mini van but I do not have a mini van stamp but I do have this one and it just felt perfect for him. He is a wonderful caring man who takes wonderful care of not just our girls but many children.

Now onto the card! Our drivers van is red so of course I had to make it red to pop off the card. The challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart challenges the challenge is stamped backgrounds. I used a retired stamp of the month called Long Ride Home.

Below is a close up of the background stamping with the bits of colour pops I added in.

Products Used:

Paper:
- Ruby, Sapphire, and White Daisy card stock

Ink:
- Saffron, Sapphire, and Black

Embellishments:
- Black and White Dots
- Whisper Extra thick twine

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. I welcome any and all comments, I love feedback!

Until next time, happy crafting!

Congratulations - H2H challenges

Hi! Happy Monday to you! Today I bring you the latest challenge from the H2H challenge blog and the challenge this week is Tuxedo (Black & White). This one proved to be a bit of a challenge for me as I kept thinking of this would make a great accent colour to offset the black and white, or I could put this bling here but it was not black or white..ahhh that was hard for me but I think I did good even though I found it to be a challenge.

I hope you will join us and play along, it is amazing how striking black and white can be together and we would love to see what you come up with.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

O Chrstmas Tree! - H2H Challenges

Hello! Happy Monday!

Hold onto your seats, I have a layout for todays project. I have been playing with City Sidewalks and I really loved working with this paper. I know I say that about all of them but it really did help me start getting into the Christmas spirit.

This was a cute sweet layout called O' Christmas Tree.

All products are Close to my heart except the title of O' Christmas Tree, I got that from the Silhouette store and I believe the designer is either Kollette Hall or Lori Whitlock.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work. I would love to see your take on City Sidewalks or its colour palette.

Until next time, happy crafing!

Uptown

Hello...Happy Monday!

Today I am bringing you a project from H2H Challenges. The theme over at H2H this week is Uptown.  What is uptown...it could be a night on the town, Uptown Girl by Billy Joel, Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, it could the City Scapes papers or what ever you think of when you think of Uptown.

I really struggled with this challenge, not going to lie. When I think uptown I think classy so I pulled out the Happy Times, the gold tones in this give me the feel of uptown, classy and chic.

- Life is sweeter

Embellishments:
