Paper Hug - AHSC 384

The card I am sharing today came as a special request from my fabulous mother in law. Due to COVID she has not been out shopping much or getting to see her friends and I offered up some of my many cards that I have laying around to help her keep in touch with friends and since she refuses to do unnecessary trips to stores so I loaded her up on birthday cards for her friends and family members. One of the cards I dropped off with her was one I did years ago that was one of the Operation Smile sets and it had a sentiment that said, "This card is a paper hug" and she loved that sentiment and specifically requested more cards with that sentiment...so you will be seeing it more and more over the next few posts!

Since I was using an older stamp I decided to try to use up some scraps and I pulled out one of my favourite paper packs, Dreamin Big. I I love the colours in this paper pack and I know my mother in law will love the colours too!

Happy Wishes - BTF

Hello! Today I have a fun challenge for you from the Between the Folds Challenge and it is all about PML or Picture my Life cards or if you do not have those in ever CTMH paper pack there is one page that has PML type cards you can cut up, those will work too!

I used the Dream Big paper pack on this card and the PML or paper like PML is actually the layer with the stamped sentiment on it. I trimmed it down a bit to fit the card and the sentiment. I do apologize that the stamped image is a bit crooked, my 7 year old loves helping mommy with her projects and she had a bit of a rough day so I told her she could help. When she saw it crooked she was so sad, tears welled in her eyes and I knew it would just be to much to tell her it was not straight, she already felt like she let me down so I gasped and said I love it on the angle like that, such a great choice to do it that way and with that her spirits were right back up and she was flying high again.

Products used:

Paper:
- Dreamin Big
- Black, White Daisy, and Poppy card stock

Ink:
- Pomegranate

Stamp:
- Sending Smiles

- Black and White Dots

Thanks for stopping in and checking out my work. I would love to see your take on the BTF challenge!

Play Laugh - BTF Challenge

Hello! Spring is in the air at Between the Folds (BTF)! Spring really brings the kids out of the house after a long cold winter and it is time for the wee ones to be outside and playing with their friends. I created this card with that in mind. My girls ride the bus to school so while I am very involved at the school and always there volunteering it is often during the school day and I do not get to meet many of their friends parents. So there are few that I do not know and would like to get to know so that we can get the kids together for some fun times. I made this card to introduce myself and provide our phone number and email address to begin a dialogue for inviting their kids over to play. I could just write a simple note but I am a paper crafter and that goes against my core values...he he he

This stamp set is School Kids and initially I was not a fan of it but the more I saw what my fellow consultants were doing with these cutie pies I just had to have it.
