Welcome to my first ever Cross Canada blog hop. The way this blog hop works is that you start here with me and work your way across Canada. Since I am in Ontario if you would like to start on the east coast please click here to go to Michelle Stewart's blog and start there and take a tour across Canada. The hop is circular so if you start with me, it will work you around to those on to the east of me so you wont miss out on their projects!
You likely came to me from Diana's blog....
My project kind of evolved from one idea to a completely different idea. Being that this blog hop is all about rainbows I new the colours I would want to use but oringinally I planned on using an ink blot stamp but as I was starting I wondered what it would look like to just sponge the ink on in stripes giving a bit of an ombre affect and I love how it turned out, so simple but yet so bright and colourful. I also intended for it to be a birthday card but was inspired by so many around me who are celebrating pride this month. For many their stories are not easy or happy stories but they fought for who they are and believed in themselves even when those closest to them may have been against them. I also thought of a few friends and family members battling cancer right now and so many struggling with mental illness and depression....so this card took on a lot of different things as I was making it....I hope you like it!
