Happy Birthday

We have been very blessed through our adoption process, it has not only brought us 3 beautiful girls but we have also met some wonderful friends who are also going through this process right along side us. One of our dear friends invited us to celebrate their son's second birthday and we could not be happier to celebrate with them. 

I made this quick card for the little guy, he is such a cutie and we adore him so this little adorable lion was perfect for him. 

The card was super easy to put together and took only a few minutes, but it was made with a lot of love for a very special little guy!

This is 40!

Life at 40 is great and it was great fun creating this layout for one of my workshops. This is the Dotty for You papers from last years Close to My Heart promotion for National Scrapbook Day. I admit I have been hoarding this paper as I LOVE it! I love the bright fun colours and awesome patterns. I am so digging the chevron pattern even though you only see a splash of it. 

Close to my Heart has hit another home run this year for National Scrapbooking Month with the Dream Pop Papers I just got my shipment in and all I can say is WOW! I can not wait to play with this paper!

Pucker Up

I have a friend who is going through a bit of a tough time right now and so I wanted to make a card to show her how much I care about her, show her that we are thinking of her and mostly to make her laugh, even if just for a minute. I knew I had the perfect stamp set, it is one of my newest ones from Close to my Heart called Pun Fun and it has the funniest sayings and the cutest and sweetest pictures. Also the saying are a wee bit sarcastic which fits my personality perfectly, except I can be quite sarcastic!

I really hope she gets a kick out of this card, I know I had fun making it!

Teacher Appreciation

My oldest started Kindergarten this year so that means I am now in the business of making teacher appreciation gifts. This is a first for me and I had no idea what to do, I did not know my daughters teacher all that well to know what her hobbies were and such, so I decided to give her something I never have enough of on hand...Cards! Yes, even as a paper crafter I never seem to have enough cards on hand when I need them.

I figured the most needed cards are Thank You and Birthday cards, so I made a variety of them for her teacher. I hope you like them, I had a blast making them.
