Warm Holiday Wishes - CAS(e) this Sketch #54

As I previously mentioned I am working on adding more and more sketch challenges to my weekly designs and here is my latest. This was created a few days ago but life got in the way and I am just posting it now. I used the CAS(E) this Sketch #54 and had the card completed in time for submitting to the contest, however, I did not actually get the picture done and posted to my blog in time but I am ok with that, I still met my goal of getting more crafty time in and more cards made so it is all good!

I hope you like this one, again I am drawn to what I consider a country Christmas and very clean and simple. I am not one who likes a lot of bling or froo froo if you catch my drift!

Mojo Monday 320 - Warm Wishes

I was fortunate today to get some time in my scrap room and when I say fortunate I mean the little one played nicely for a bit so I could throw together a card (or two!)

I have challenged myself to participate in more challenges online and to focus on creating more often and trying out new challenges. Last week I was able to get a Mojo entry done so this week I wanted to get at least that done and one more if possible. Well I was able to get the Mojo Monday done and a second card almost done...it is done but before I could photograph it, it needed some time for some drying of some glue and such so that will be featured another time. 

While working on the challenges I was mindful that I needed to get some cards done for an upcoming workshop I am doing so of course I used the featured paper (Frosted) in my cards. I am really drawn to the off white side of this paper and really digging the country Christmas feel I am getting from my cards this year. I am normally a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas and insist on Red and Green and I do not mean the trendy reds and greens I mean your true red and green, so this is quite the departure for me. I hope you like it, it is simple, but the sketch lent itself to simple.

AHSC #29

The holidays are fast approaching and holiday cards and I am having a great time using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to come up with different designs for my holiday cards, it makes it so easy and takes a lot of the guess work out of the design process. 

This card came together so quickly that it was kind of scary. I did have to twist the sketch on its side to get my dots to fit and to be more proportioned with the sentiment.

Mojo Monday - 318

I felt the need to get my craft on today but I did not have a ton of time so I decided to check out the Mojo Monday challenge and see what type of sketch they had and I really liked it so I thought I would give it a try and see what I could come up with. It was so fun and easy to put together. I love the rustic feel of this card, it reminds me of a country Christmas. I would never have thought of using the burlap with the Frosted paper pack and but while looking for a different ribbon I saw it and thought...hmmm and low and behold it worked, at least in my opinion. I love this burlap ribbon. I think I might have to add this card to my upcoming Frosted work out.

AHSC Sketch 26

Happy Monday to you! Monday is a fun day for me because I get to show off my newest design for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. This week we are on Sketch #26 and it is a fun one. The thing I love about being part of the design team is that it really challenges me at times to step out of my comfort zone and I am forcing myself to try new things. While it may not seem like it on this card, each sketch challenges me in a different way and I am so loving that!
