Get Your Spook On - Freshly Made

Hello! Today I have a Halloween card for you, as I have mentioned in previous posts I am making some Halloween cards for my mother in law and her friends to send to their grandchildren. I decided to check out Freshly Made Sketches for some inspiration on the current card I am working on.
Above is the sketch that I used and below is my card I tried to stay super close to the sketch but it was a lot of white space for me, which I love on others projects feel like mine look so silly. I added some ink sponging to fill up some space and add colours but not with paper or bulk.

Isabella Thinking of you - AHSC 439

Hello! Today I am bringing you a project I made for both my Isabella card workshop and my AHSC Design team project.

I know I always say this but I really loved playing with this paper pack. I just love the bright bold colours and it was a fun switch from the very outdoorsy feel (which I also loved) of the Wander paper pack. I also loved how cheerful the papers made me feel, the bright bold blues and yellows were perfect to me to brighten someones day and with all going on in this world, everyone knows someone who can use some cheering up!

Paper:
- Isabella
- White Daisy, Lemonade, and Bluebird card stock

Stamp/Thin Cut:
- Z3963 Isabella - Scrapbooking Stamp and Thin Cuts

Inks:

Celebrate - H2H Get Inky

Hello and Happy Monday! Today I have a card for you for the Heart 2 Heart Challenges Design Team; our challenge this week is to get inky! Use ink on your project in any way shape of or form.

For the challenge, I did some stencilling, stamping, and colouring on this card I made for my daughters grade 8 graduation. I used one of the CTMH Stencils to create the heart background on White Daisy card stock. I used Canary and Flamingo inks for the hearts. For the Party Girl I used our Intense Black ink to stamp her outline. I coloured her in using my Spectrum Noir Tai-blend markers. The colours I used were Tan Blend (hair), Pale Pink and Light Yellow Blend (dress and shoes), Fair skin, and black (soles of shoes). I accidentally coloured the top part of her dress with the darkest of the tri-blend but I went with it and used the lighter on the bottom portion to make it look almost like an organza type of dress. I did not think of it before I took the picture but after I did add a light coat with the clear shimmer brush to give the dress a bit of a sparkle.  I finished it off with Clear Sparkles.

Outdoor Borders - June SOTM

Hello and welcome to the June Stamp of the Month blog hop. Tonight we have 16 Close to my Heart consultants showcasing artwork featuring the June Stamp of the Month...Outdoor Borders. This stamp set is available starting today and runs through the end of June, so if you want it, do not delay! If you are joining me from Show and Tell with Michelle, welcome! If you are starting here at my blog, welcome!

May be an image of 1 person and text            May be an image of text that says 'CIOSE to HearT Independent Consultant Happy camper Back nature tonSnvw Scenic view over the hill and through the woods ENJOY the RIDE ENJOY the RIDE guud STAY COOL LOVE summEN CATCHING VACAY modi hello summer Sweet summer days hello summer Sweet summer days Outdoor Borders Set f9 Available during June 2021'

Now onto the fun and artwork. I had a few minutes in between workshops and decided to use up some of my Hillside Cottage leftovers to create a layout. I went looking for some summery outdoor pictures I have to get scrapped to use this stamp set on. I know this set will work great for my cottage photos but I had none to scrapbook. I did however, have photos from a local event called Ribfest. This is not something I ever knew of before moving to Canada but it is a big BBQ weekend event that rotates through the province (and possibly the country) through the summer with rib and BBQ vendors competing against each other for the best ribs. I personally hate ribs, anything attached to a bone I can not eat but my husband and kids are crazy for them so I suffer in silence, eating a pulled pork sandwich while they all chow down, it is definitely a highlight of the summer for them!

I did not use the stamp set as a border. If you look above the flower cluster on the left page to the left of the title you will see a stamped image saying "summer days" that was from the border saying "sweet summer days". On the right page if you look at the 3 photos that are 3 X 3 you you will see some word bubbles and such, they are small (sorry) in the photo below I have added arrows to highlight where the bubbles I used are. Going left right across in the picture of my daughter chomping on a rib is "good vibes" stamped in Paprika, in the middle towards the upper right corner is "Summer Love" stamped in Blue Belle, and in the lower right corner of the right photo is "fun" stamped in Flamingo.

I have also added the "hello summer" with the sun on a banner/pennant coming off the right edge of the right page. I stamped this in Intense black ink and coloured the sun with the Citrus Blend Tri-Blend marker.

Hello! Welcome to Wednesday and another creation I have made. I had a lot of fun making this card, I thought this would be a cute card to send to a special child in your life to give them a lift during these tough times and what kids don't enjoy getting snail mail?

The inside of this card has a special treat in stamping, lots of little buddies to say HI! to the special recipient of the card!

Gnome Christmas - AHSC #399

Hello! Today I have been busy working on some Christmas cards, I am behind in getting my cards out but I will be getting them out! Sadly my husband has contracted COVID19 and so the last few weeks while in quarantine with 3 young kids who were super bummed to be missing school was a bit hectic and chaotic so I am a bit behind on my cards...but better late than never!

Having sketches to work off of is making the process a bit faster and easier and the AHSC are always a great resource for me when I am needing inspiration!

I used the Gnome for Christmas stamp set with Thin Cuts, Jingle Joy paper and Raspberry card stock.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I welcome any and all feedback. If you would like help with purchasing any of the products mentioned my post today, please contact your local CTMH Maker. Blissful Brackets - Technique Blog hop

Hello and welcome to the technique blog hop tonight. Tonight CTMH consultants from all over will featuring projects using our various bracket thin cuts to show how you can mix them up and create all different kinds of projects with them. If you are joining me from Darlys Recker

You are in the right place! If you get lost along the way just click here!

Now onto my projects:

Merry and Bright...I was inspired by Julie Carrier with this one, the snow on the bracket, so simple yet I would have never thought of doing this. I love that idea so I borrowed it.

This one is a bit of a joke, I realize the paper(Oh Deer) is long retired but I just had to use it with this stamp from the Black Friday sale on a card for my mother in law, she say "Oh Dear" to everything so it was perfect for her. She also loves the birch wood and deer look so I pulled it out for a special card for her. This is actually going to be a Thank you card for her, we have all had quite a year and 2 weeks ago, after doing everything possible to protect our family from COVID my husband got it and she and my father in law have been fabulous in shopping for us, bringing us supplies and ordering take out for me so I don't need to cook so while it is retired, it is perfect for her and has a bracket so I included it!

Who does not love these little Gnomes. This is just a fun one I put together using our Jingle Joy papers and the Gnome for Christmas stamp and Thin cut set.

While the stamp set was only available during the Black Friday sale, I just had to use it considering we are a COVID house in lockdown for some of our Christmas cards! If we cant find humour in this horrible situation we will definitely go bonkers, at least in this house. And I do know there is nothing funny about COVID, I just have to laugh to stay sane. My husband is extremely high risk, so I get the severity of this situation!

This layout features the Party Time paper pack and was featured on the H2H challenges blog but after I posted it, I realized I never did any journalling on the layout so I grabbed some Glacier card stock and my bracket thin cut and typed up some journaling and put the bracket thin cut through my printer to print right onto it.

Here is a closer look at the journaling block!

It is now time to hop on over to Tamara Sandwisch and see what fabulous artwork she has for you tonight!

Peace on Earth - H2H Challenges

Hello! Today I have a Christmas card for you! At this time of year it is all about Christmas so this weeks challenge from Heart 2 Heart should not be a surprise either, the challenge is Peace on Earth.

So as I sat down to create cards for this challenge I came to a shocking realization that with my far to many Christmas stamps, not one has the sentiment Peace on Earth on it, can you believe that? I, personally was shocked! I do know that I tend not to get stamps that are to religious in feel for my workshops and try to keep to simple sayings like Merry Christmas and generic stuff as that but I thought for sure I would have at least one...but NOPE! So I have to share just a Christmas card with a generic Christmas saying!

This is one of the cards I created for my Jingle Joy workshop, I don't what it is about this little reindeer but I just love him, he looks so peaceful and that is why I chose him for this card and this challenge! I think he would be super cute with ornaments hanging off his antlers too, I may have to try to that!

Products Used:

Paper:
- Jingle Joy
- Evergreen, Raspberry and White Daisy

Stamp:
- The Jubilee Crew

Tai-blend Markers
- Tan Blend
- Bright Pink blend
- Black

Ink:

Teeny Tiny - H2H Challenges

Hello and Happy Monday! This is my first Monday in 6 months with the kids back in school! I am not confident we wont get shut down, cases are on the rise but until then I am going to enjoy my break and craft, craft craft....while I can! I love my kiddos but the break and routine are nice!

Now onto my project! Today I have a card I made for the H2H Challenges Design Team and our challenge this week is Teeny Tiny! I have had this stamp set C1856 Little Buddies for a while and just have not had the time to play with it and was so happy that they are tiny little characters so I could create with it. Are they just not the cutest? And I did not even use them all, there is a fox, a hedgehog, a panda, a penguin, a kitty, and an owl, in addition to the cutie pies I used!

I felt if I put a character in each circle it might be a bit to much so I backed some of the circles with some of our new Lovely paper (isn't it so pretty?) I coloured all the little buddies with CTMH's Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers. And used the Multi Circle Thin Cut to cut the Ballerina card stock.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I welcome any and all feedback. If you would like help with purchasing any of the products mentioned my post today, please contact your local CTMH consultant.
