I had such a fun time snapping pictures of my oldest one day while trying to learn about all the new functions on my camera and once she realized she was the subject of all my pictures she began to pose and really work it. She was so cute and while her hair is not perfect and she has grass stains on her knees, the pictures are perfect...perfectly her!

I'd rather be playing....

Well I would actually rather be scrapbooking but our munchkins would much rather be playing so the layout works for them!

I used the Dream Pop paper for this one because it is so bright and vibrant just like our little one. I also used one of the Close to my Heart spinners on this layout, which is so much fun.

A dream pop birthday

Like most Canadians; this weekend was especially busy and fun for our family. Not only did we get the family together for our annual Thanksgiving dinner, which was delicious, but we also got to celebrate my niece's 4th birthday. Below is the card I made for her and had so much fun using the bright bold colours which are a perfect match for her personality.

I designed the card with the help of the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Sketch 25. I did adapt it a wee bit but hey that is the great thing about sketches, you can do that! Please join us at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge, we love to see everyones takes on the sketches.

First Sleep Over

Since the adoption of our girls we have had a lot of first, as everyone does with new little ones in the house, some of our firsts are a bit different. Not everyone has a first sleep over with their kids but my husband and I did and it was so fun but so nerve wracking too. We were nervous the girls would be scared or not able to sleep, but really it was my husband and I who were afraid. I am sure the girls were nervous but if they were they did not show it at all and were troopers!

I do have one regret from all of these firsts, I was so busy and so overwhelmed with being an instant mommy to 3 that I do not have a lot of pictures, I have every picture I took on here, 4 pictures from 2 full days of playing, but I am happy I got these and even more important than the pictures (yes it is possible for a scrapbooker to think there is something more important than pictures) and that was spending time and bonding with our girls, what could be better than that?
