I am here today with the odd Sunday post! I decided to play along with Mojo Monday this week and today is the deadline to post it so here we are with the odd Sunday post!
I have been playing with my Brushed scraps and I am coming up with some super cute, bright springy cards for one of my upcoming workshops! That means if you are following along at home, this is one of the designs we will be doing at a future workshop...sneak peak alert!
As I said, I have been using up some scraps while I wait for my order to arrive and this paper pack just seems to never end. I have done 2 full layouts (my layouts are always double page spreads, so really 4 full 12 X 12 pages!) and so far I have made 4 additional cards. I know another consultant who found the same thing, this pack just kept going and going so if you are looking for a paper pack that will get you the most bang for your buck, this is the paper pack for you!

Hello...Happy Tuesday!
Even though I am not feeling well I did get down to the basement today for some mommy play time. Yesterday was a snow day here and I was so sick that I was not able to get any crafty time in so I was happy to get down there. I had a chance to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch this week this is a sneak peek of one of my Hopscotch workshops. Here is what I came up with:

Hello and happy Wednesday! I have been feeling particularly crafty lately, possibly since I have been so busy and not able to find my scrapbook room but I decided summer is coming and with 3 wee ones home all day, I better get my scrap on now while I can and only have one wee one at home! To help inspire me (make me work quicker) I decided to play along at the Mojo Monday #343. I also decided that I better get on the ball and make a Mother's Day card for my Mother in law since I have not done so in several years. Having lost my mother 20 years ago when I was 23 made it a holiday I do not look forward to every year. But this year I hope to have a great Mother's Day, hopefully all of my wee ones will make it a good day for once (one always has a major meltdown day that day) and well my Mother in law has been AMAZING to our family this year and really a card is the very least I can do for her even though I have my own issues with the holiday, luckily she understands having lost her mother at a similar age.
Anyways, happy thoughts...I had time to scrap! I made this card based on the sketch below. It was supposed to be tall and skinny and if it was another birthday or thank you card I might have gone that route but I went with a standard card size, I hope they do not mind! Again, I am working to weed out some of my stash so I pulled out the retired paper pack La Belle Vie from Close to My Heart, I think it worked perfect for this sketch and for a Mother's Day card. I also stepped out of my comfort zone and added flowers, in case you all have not noticed, I am not a frilly ribbony and flowery type, I tend to keep it clean and simple with little to no frufru!

I was fortunate today to get some time in my scrap room and when I say fortunate I mean the little one played nicely for a bit so I could throw together a card (or two!)
I have challenged myself to participate in more challenges online and to focus on creating more often and trying out new challenges. Last week I was able to get a Mojo entry done so this week I wanted to get at least that done and one more if possible. Well I was able to get the Mojo Monday done and a second card almost done...it is done but before I could photograph it, it needed some time for some drying of some glue and such so that will be featured another time.
While working on the challenges I was mindful that I needed to get some cards done for an upcoming workshop I am doing so of course I used the featured paper (Frosted) in my cards. I am really drawn to the off white side of this paper and really digging the country Christmas feel I am getting from my cards this year. I am normally a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas and insist on Red and Green and I do not mean the trendy reds and greens I mean your true red and green, so this is quite the departure for me. I hope you like it, it is simple, but the sketch lent itself to simple.

I felt the need to get my craft on today but I did not have a ton of time so I decided to check out the Mojo Monday challenge and see what type of sketch they had and I really liked it so I thought I would give it a try and see what I could come up with. It was so fun and easy to put together. I love the rustic feel of this card, it reminds me of a country Christmas. I would never have thought of using the burlap with the Frosted paper pack and but while looking for a different ribbon I saw it and thought...hmmm and low and behold it worked, at least in my opinion. I love this burlap ribbon. I think I might have to add this card to my upcoming Frosted work out.

I decided to give the Mojo Monday challenges a try. I have been wanting to do them for a while but I finally got my Mojo back and created two cards today, I could not believe how easily they came together with the help of the sketches. This was the first of the two cards I made today.
I got some new goodies the other day from Close To My Heart and have been wanting to play with them so I broke them out as soon as I finished working on my daughters birthday party invitations (which will be posted soon).
