Fall Scarecrow - Colour Challenge from H2H

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Today I bring you my latest design for the Heart 2 Heart Challenges design team. This week our theme is colouring, Adult colouring is all the rage right now and for those of us in paper crafting know why, it is relaxing, therapeutic  and just down right fun!

For this weeks card I pulled out an older stamp set, it was last Septembers Stamp of the Month called Fall Favorites. I just love this scarecrow guy, he is so fun!

I coloured him in using the Close to My Heart water colour pencils and water blending pen. I will say I had 2 sets of eyes staring me down as I was colouring and in awe of how the water blending pen changed the look of what I coloured. My daughters are often in awe of what I am working on, I already have 3 scrapbookers on my hands and they are only 5, 7, and 8...and I love it!

So here is the breakdown of the products used:

Paper:
- Felicity (retired)
- Colonial White and Barn Red (retired) card stock

Stamp Set:
- S1209 Fall Favorites (retired)

Ink:
- Z2114 Cooca

Embellishments
- Z2012 - Sequins Gold

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work, if you would like to see more awesome projects, swing by the Heart 2 Heart Challenge website and see what the other design team members have come up with!

Until next time....Happy Crafting!

November Specials

November brings us the Lucky 5 constant campaign and the November Stamp of the month.

Lucky 5

November marks the five-year anniversary of Studio J^®, and that means it’s your lucky month, with five amazing ways to win through Studio J and Close To My Heart social media!

First, throughout the month of November, all layouts purchased in Studio J are $5! That is a savings of over 25% off of retail! Your second chance to win big must come by sheer luck: every fifth order placed in Studio J during November receives a FREE surprise Close To My Heart accessory in its shipping box! The accessory has a retail value of $5 or more.

If luck doesn’t smile on you in that way, you might stumble upon it by finding a little extra something in your Studio J box. Five “golden tickets” will be sent out during the month of November with randomly selected Studio J print orders! This “golden ticket” is redeemable for one of Close To My Heart’s new D-ring albums* loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors™.

For a fourth way to win, simply create new, gorgeous layouts in Studio J, select your favorites, and then post pictures of them on Close To My Heart’s Facebook page using the hashtag #ctmhlucky5. After November 30, five lucky winners will be selected from the entries based on their artistry and creativity and each of these winners will receive their own D-ring album loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors!

And there is one last way to win: take your new Studio J artwork and post a picture of it on Instagram using the hashtag #ctmhlucky5. Just as it is with Facebook, after November 30, five lucky winners will be selected from the entries to receive their own D-ring album loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors!

Christmas Cards - round 2

For my workshop this year we did 4 cards and an ornament. Three of the cards I have already posted but not the last one and the ornament, I had to keep some things as a surprise for the ladies coming to the workshop last Friday night.

Here is the 4th card I created for the ladies. I would love to take credit for the cute the ornament, however it is not my original idea, I got the idea from the very talented Lucy Kelleher and her blog: http://www.love2createitall.com/2012/10/a-very-merry-christmas-blog-hop.html

Products used (card):
Paper:
- Pear and Partridge

Stamp set:
- Pear and Partridge Worksop on the Go

Ink:
- Cranberry
- Olive
- Cocoa

Ribbon:
- Pear and Partridge Workshop on the Go

Products Used (ornament):

Paper:
- White Daisy card stock

Stamp Set:
- Very Merry Christmas (October Stamp of the Month)

Ink:
- Olive

I had a great time with the ladies working on our cards and I look forward to scrapping with them on many occasions.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

No fooling, it is April already!

Can you even believe that it is April 2012 already? I still remember all the fuss and panic of Y2K and now we are 12 years and 4 months later...where on earth does the time go? That is the million dollar question for sure!

April brings up a new Close to my Heart Stamp of the Month and a great new constant campaign. Lets start with the constant campaign...Dotty for You.

Close to my Heart is releasing an exclusive paper pack for National Scrapbooking month but is letting us get our hands on it in April. Dotty is just awesome, just great spring colours and fun yet simple patterns that will work with just about any project you can imagine.

There are three ways to get this exclusive Dotty for You paper packet, valued at $19.95:

• Place an order of $35 or more in products from the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book between April 17 and May 31, and add the Dotty for You paper packet for just $5*.
• Host a Gathering with a sales total of $400 or more (excluding tax, shipping/handling, and Operation Smile^® donations) between April 17 and May 31 and receive a Dotty for You paper packet FREE.
• Join Close To My Heart as a new Consultant between April 1 and May 31 and receive a Dotty for You paper packet FREE!

Free sounds great to me!

As always, Close to my heart features a stamp set that is only available during that month and this month it is You Are.... and this set is so versatile that it can be used for cards, layouts, 3D projects, just about anything that you can imagine. To get this great set you can purchase it for $17.95 or if you place an order of $50.00 or more (before shipping and taxes) you can get it for only $5.00, what a deal!
