This week at Heart 2 Heart challenges it is all about checker boards! There are no rules other than creating a checker board on your project.
This is a layout I did for my middle daughters Junior Kindergarten school picture and her class picture. i love how the chalk it up papers have a whimsical feel rather than a very studious feel to them, I have kiddos in JK, Grade 1 and Grade 2 so I have the younger years and these work so great for this age.
This is also a sneak peak of the first of our layouts for the Chalk it up layout workshop!

Christmas Cheer - AHSC # 77
Happy Wednesday!
Today I bring you a Christmas card from the AHSC sketch number #77. This card came together pretty easily today. While I LOVE to be creative I am not the most creative person out there and there are times that even with sketches I struggle to get something I feel is good enough to publish. Todays card came together rather quickly (even with the munchkins dancing around) and it is one I really kind of like.

AHSC #55...Life is so good....
with you in it!
That is how I feel about my friend Sherry Lynn. She is absolutely amazing! She has ben through so much in the last year and yet she is always there to let me vent and whine when life is handing me lemons again.
I made this card for her, she is really very selfless and let me vent big time on Mother's day, without her I do not know what I would do, I love you Sherry Lynn!
So onto the card, this is my creation for sketch 55 from Atlantic Herts Sketch Challenge (AHSC).
For this card I used the following:
Paper / card stock:
- Colonial white
- All the rest are unknown. The patterned paper was a scrap and the flowers were left over from a project I did over a year ago. (sorry)
Ink:
- Ponderosa Pine
Stamp Set:
- B1204 - Life is so good (retired)
Cricut:
- Artiste for the leaf stem
- Art Philosophy for the flowers
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest project!

Foldable Fun!
The Cricut is so versatile and so much fun (yet intimidating to me!) the Close to my Heart Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridge are full of fun shapes and 3D objects. This video will show just how easy it can be to add some fun dimension to your cards and layouts. And yes, it is so easy, even I can make these!
If you have any questions, as always just let me know how I can help!
Until next time, happy scrapping!

Christmas Cards - round 2
For my workshop this year we did 4 cards and an ornament. Three of the cards I have already posted but not the last one and the ornament, I had to keep some things as a surprise for the ladies coming to the workshop last Friday night.
Here is the 4th card I created for the ladies. I would love to take credit for the cute the ornament, however it is not my original idea, I got the idea from the very talented Lucy Kelleher and her blog: http://www.love2createitall.com/2012/10/a-very-merry-christmas-blog-hop.html
Products used (card):
Paper:
- Pear and Partridge
Stamp set:
- Pear and Partridge Worksop on the Go
Ink:
- Cranberry
- Olive
- Cocoa
Ribbon:
- Pear and Partridge Workshop on the Go
Products Used (ornament):
Paper:
- White Daisy card stock
Stamp Set:
- Very Merry Christmas (October Stamp of the Month)
Ink:
- Olive
I had a great time with the ladies working on our cards and I look forward to scrapping with them on many occasions.
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!
