Hello and welcome to the Technique Blog Hop for March. Tonight my fellow CTMH Consultants and I are playing with our wooden shapes and altering them to show you fun and different ways to use them. If you are joining me from Cat Nowak, welcome! If you are starting here at my blog, we are glad to have you join us. If you get lost along the way, just click here to go to the beginning of the hop! And now for the fun!
Tonight I have 2 cards I made. I am loving this plaid paper from Daisy Meadows I need a lot of it in my life!
For this first card I used my Peacock Exclusive Inks and inked up the small wood heart by directly applying the ink to the heart. It is hard to see but I then coloured it with my Peacock shimmer brush to add a bit more colour in the cracks the ink did not get into and to give it a bit of shimmer. In real life it is super sparkly!
On this card, I took one of the hollowed out hearts and adhered it to a scrap of Mint card stock with my Liquid glass. Once that dried I cut the edges of the scrap along the edge of the wood shape. Then I decided to add Liquid Glass inside the heart and fill it up to help give the Mint card stock some shine and a glassy affect. In real life it is super shiny.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I welcome any and all feedback. If you would like help with purchasing any of the products mentioned my post today, please contact your local CTMH Maker. If you do not have a CTMH Maker and are in Canada I can absolutely assist you in ordering. If you are in the United States, New Zealand or Australia, I can help you locate a Maker local to you for ordering.
I had a lot of fun playing and making these cards today. it is now time to "hop" on over to my good friend in scrapping Haley Dyer and see what goodness she has for you today.
Until next time, happy crafting!

These are both lovely cards. I love to use both these techniques too. Especially my shimmer brushes on the wood.
