Happy BIrthday - AHSC 263

Hello! I have another card for you today, if you are not noticing yet, I am so in love with the wood grain paper. This was another card from my Gimme Some workshop. I love the simplicity of the card, the wood grain paper is makes it so easy to work with.

This was a super quick and easy birthday card.

We would love to see your take on the sketch above, please join us at AHSC here.

Until next time, happy crafting!

Mother's Day - H2H Challenges

This week at Heart 2 Heart challenges it is all about Mom's. Mother's Day is a bit bittersweet for me every year. I lost my own mother when I was 23 and it makes me so sad when I see all the Mother's Day stuff coming out in the stores and online. I had hoped becoming a mother would change this day for me but sadly no. I was not able to have children on my own and therefore we adopted 3 beautiful young little ladies and I could not love them more but sadly with adoption comes loss and Mother's Day is a huge trigger emotionally for them, each year gets a bit better and the day is not as bad as the one before it but I honestly try to avoid this day, we have so many happy days we celebrate together, I don't need one more, ever day is mothers day to me because I am the mom to 3 truly special, strong, gorgeous, kind, remarkable young ladies.

So now, now onto my card....seeing how we do not do a lot with Mother's day around here I decided to skip Mother's Days cards this year and do a card inspired by my mother. My mom loved to cook and bake for us so I saw this cute little apron card and just had to make it for my inspired by card. I did this card at my Gimme Some Sugar workshop and it was a huge hit.

With Sympathy - H2H Challenges

This week we have a colour challenge for you from H2H challenges. Create a project using CTMH colours Peacock, Bashful, Blossom and White Daisy. These are colours featured in this months paper pack Gimme Some Sugar.

I have been working on my workshop for this paper pack so you will see a lot of my workshop over the next few posts. The card I have for you today is a sympathy card. I sadly had to put my beloved Cocoa Puff, our 11 year old Beagle down on Friday and so sympathy and sadness were on my mind as I was making cards for this workshop. Sympathy cards are never fun to make and sneak up suddenly so I do try to sneak them into my workshops every so often so my customers will have one on hand if needed.

Products Used:

Paper:
- Gimme Some Sugar
- Peacock, White Daisy, and Heather card stock

Ink:
- Tangerine, Peacock, Blush, and Bashful

Stamp:
- Gimme Some Sugar Scrapbooking

Embellishments:
- Peacock Stitched Ribbon

Thanks for stopping and by checking out my project. We would love to have you join us for any of our current challenges, just visit us at Heart 2 Heart challenges here

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Picture My Life (PML) - Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month optional blog hop where we feature different items from Close to my Heart. This month we are featuring different ideas and ways to use the Picture My Life (PML) cards that are included in all paper packs and can be ordered separately.

We have 20 people participating in this blog hop. You most likely are either starting here or you are coming to me from Catherine Nowak. If at any time you get lost you can go to Melissa Robinson and start from her blog to go around all 20 consultant websites.

For my card I used the Gimme Some Sugar paper pack and 2 of the PML cards. The pink Buffalo Plaid and the bowl was cut out from one that said "life is short, like the bowl." I cut the bowl out and filled it with flowers.

Products used:

Paper:
- Gimme Some Sugar
- Bashful and White Daisy card stock

Ink:
- Juniper, Tangerine, Bashful, Blossom and Peacock

Stamp:
- Gimme Some Sugar Scrapbooking

Embellishments:
- White Pearls

If you see any projects you like and you want to purchase the items please reach out to your consultant for ordering. If you do not have a consultant and are in Canada please feel free to contact me. If you are in the US, Australia, or New Zealand, I can help you find a consultant in your area who can assist you.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I welcome any comments and feedback on my projects. I hope you will continue around the blog hop and visit Gina Brandstetter and continue on in our hop.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Ad-MITT it! A H2H Challenge

Today our theme at H2H Challenges is Everything but the Kitchen Sink! My original thought for this theme was to do a project with everything on it, liquid glass, thin cuts, stamping, bling...everything but nothing I was trying was coming together, the kids were wild today and had a hard time focusing on my project so eventually I had to cut my losses and go easy with the Gimme Some Sugar and its kitchen/baking theme.

Products Used:

Paper:
- Gimme Some Sugar
- Juniper and White Daisy card stock

Ink:
- Juniper

Stamp:
- Gimme Some Sugar card making

Embellishments:
- White Shimmer Trim
- Clear Sparkles

Thanks for stopping by, we would love to see what you come up with for this challenge. Join us here!

Until next time....happy crafting!
