Merry Christmas - AHSC #35

Christmas is upon us and so the flu bug in our house this week. For this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge I decided to go with a layout, I am working on a calendar for my Mother in law for Christmas and using the sketches has helped speed things up for me but due to the flu striking me and my youngest the calendar sadly did not get completed in time.

I did have to make a few small adjustments, I have 3 girls, so I had to add an extra square and I moved the sentiment down as the Merry got lost in the patterned paper.

Products used:
Paper:
- Pear and Partridge, Cranberry, and Olive cardstock

Misc:
- Mistletoe Level 2

Coasting to Christmas

Like my air freshener, my coaster set needed a holiday update. I used the paper and stamp set from my Christmas cards because I just loved it so much. I will be honest, I was not fond of the paper or the stamp set at first but the more I played with it it really grew on me. I will be using these papers for all my Christmas layouts after the holidays so be on the look out for those! Of course I still need to scrapbook Christmas 2011 first!

I really love these coasters, they are super old, I got them at least 8 years ago and I just love that they can be changed and updated. Typically I just stamp on card stock but this time I treated each coaster as its own mini card/layout and used different papers and stamps and I really love how it turned out I am not bragging, I just really love how they look in our house, it really adds a nice touch.

Christmas Cards - round 2

For my workshop this year we did 4 cards and an ornament. Three of the cards I have already posted but not the last one and the ornament, I had to keep some things as a surprise for the ladies coming to the workshop last Friday night.

Here is the 4th card I created for the ladies. I would love to take credit for the cute the ornament, however it is not my original idea, I got the idea from the very talented Lucy Kelleher and her blog: http://www.love2createitall.com/2012/10/a-very-merry-christmas-blog-hop.html

Christmas is in the air!

Christmas is right around the corner (ekks!) and it is time (if you have not already done so) to get serious about your holiday card plans. The cards shown below are the ones that I will be teaching at a workshop tonight but are also the ones I will be sending out to my family and friends. I love that they look elegant and classy but were so incredibly easy to do. With 3 kids under the age of 5 I need an easy and fast option but do not want to compromise on quality or looks.

I really hope the ladies tonight enjoy the cards we are making. This is 3 of the cards, we will be doing one additional card and a special project to be posted soon. If you would like any information on dimensions, products used, or techniques I am happy to help out!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!
