Free Cake - AHSC 350

Hello! Things are returning back to normal around my house and creating again now that the kids are back in school. I have a project from the AHSC. One of the great things about sketches is that they are a road map to get you started. For this one I did change things a bit, I tried to put the cake in the place of the flower as in the sketch but it just never felt and looked right to me so I slid it over a bit and it worked much better for me.

Products Used:

Paper:
- Holly Jolly
- Black and White Daisy card stock

Embellishments:
- Black Shimmer Trim
- Silver Shimmer Trim
- Black and White Dots

Stamp:
- Free Cake (retired)

Ink:
- Black Memento
- Shin Han - Y49, YR24, and R5
- Copic - E23

Happy Birthday - AHSC #349

Hello and Happy New Years Eve! I will be spending the day today and tomorrow, ringing in the new year doing what I love....scrapbooking!

I made this card using the AHSC #349 but to get it to work the way I wanted I had to flip the sketch on its side, that is the great thing with sketches is that they are a jumping point to get you going but you are able to move things around and make it work for your card or layouts.

Here is what I created:

And here is the sketch:

As you can see I did flip my design on its side to get it to work. I love the bright bold colours of this card. It is from the Holly Jolly paper pack and yet is does not look Christmas at all and I love that!

Merry Everything - AHSC 339

Hello! Today I bring you the first of my Christmas cards...I am sorry! If you are like me and a fan or the warmer weather and this is a reminder of what is to come (cold, snow, and ice for me) I am sorry. I hate the feeling of skipping ahead of Fall and jumping into Christmas but I have a workshop to plan for so here goes the first of a lot of Christmas cards over the coming weeks.

I am hosting a card buffet and my goal is to have 20 different cards so you will see a mix of retired and new products all together as I use up supplies and try to come up with 20 new and different cards.

One product you will see a lot of is the little elf below. OMG how cute is he? The second I saw him in our idea book I knew he was a must have. He is followed closely by the nutcracker who will debut soon I am sure. I am so in love with all of the holiday stuff in our idea book and I bought way to much (as I always do!)
