You are Appreciated - AHSC 369

Hello! I have a card for you today that I created for my Aurora monthly workshop. While we are not able to get together, I am still creating my workshops for those who want them, pre-cutting everything and doing porch drops off so they can work on them at home.

Here is what I created for the workshop using the AHSC for this week.

I created this card using the new Forever Grateful stamp set from CTMH to honour all of our essential workers. The stamp set was part of the National Scrapbooking Day card bundle #2.

Paper:
- Aurora
- Sage. Evergreen, and White Daisy card stock

Ink:
Evergreen

Stamp:
- CC7210 Forever Grateful

Thin Cuts:
- Z3639 Scalloped Circle
- Z3318 Basic Circles

So very sorry - AHSC 368

Hello! Today I have a card that no one ever likes to make, a sympathy card. A friend of mine had a death in her family so I made this card for her to express our condolences.

For this card, I decided to turn to my stash as I felt most of the newer products were to bright and colourful for a somber occasion. I am not sure why but I tend to shy away from lots of colours and go more monochromatic.

Products Used:

Paper:
- Feels like home (retired)
- Charcoal and French Vanilla card stock

Ink:
- Charcoal

Stamps:P
- Budding Peony (retired)
- Heartfelt

Embellishments:
- White Ribbon

Free Cake - AHSC 350

Hello! Things are returning back to normal around my house and creating again now that the kids are back in school. I have a project from the AHSC. One of the great things about sketches is that they are a road map to get you started. For this one I did change things a bit, I tried to put the cake in the place of the flower as in the sketch but it just never felt and looked right to me so I slid it over a bit and it worked much better for me.

Merry Everything - AHSC 339

Hello! Today I bring you the first of my Christmas cards...I am sorry! If you are like me and a fan or the warmer weather and this is a reminder of what is to come (cold, snow, and ice for me) I am sorry. I hate the feeling of skipping ahead of Fall and jumping into Christmas but I have a workshop to plan for so here goes the first of a lot of Christmas cards over the coming weeks.

I am hosting a card buffet and my goal is to have 20 different cards so you will see a mix of retired and new products all together as I use up supplies and try to come up with 20 new and different cards.

One product you will see a lot of is the little elf below. OMG how cute is he? The second I saw him in our idea book I knew he was a must have. He is followed closely by the nutcracker who will debut soon I am sure. I am so in love with all of the holiday stuff in our idea book and I bought way to much (as I always do!)

So Thankful - Hawthorn - AHSC 337

Hello! Today I am back with a workshop card for you, this card will make its debut at my Hawthorn workshop on Saturday night (well it is making its debut now, but for my workshop ladies, they will get it on Saturday!)

When I saw this sketch from Michelle at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge I was so excited to play with it, it just seemed so sweet and I just loved it.

Products Used:

Paper:
- Hawthorn
- Sage card stock

Ribbon:
- Z4154 Cream Ribbon (retired)

So I created this with one piece of card stock, 1 piece of patterned paper, a zip strip and ribbon...how cool is that. It is a super simple card but I feel it is still very sweet and pretty too.

Let's Celebrate - AHSC 325

Hello! I really love the card I am bringing to you today. This is a birthday or any celebration card I made for the June True Love workshop using the AHSC sketch but I added in Espresso ink for the chocolate and I think the colours looks so good together. One of my favourite details was adding the banner to where the sentiment goes in the sketch, remember we do not need to follow sketches exactly, I still have my sentiment in the spot on the sketch but I added it to a banner.

Products used:
Paper:
- True Love
- Sugar Plum and White Daisy

Ink:
- Sugar Plum and Espresso

Stamps:
- D1850 One Year Older
- C1747 Fabulous Birthday

Embellishments:
- Clear Sparkles

Beautiful Friendship - AHSC 300

WOW! Today at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge we are bringing you our 300th sketch. I have not been a design team member since the beginning but I came aboard at Sketch 35 so I have been designing for them for quite a long time and I love it. Not only are the sketches great and I use them all the time for my cards and workshops but through it I have actually made a great friend in Michelle Stewart, the founder of the challenge site. So not only is it fun but it has been life changing for me. I would like to congratulate Michelle on 300 sketches, WOW...300 sketches that is huge.

Now onto the sketch and my take on it. I will admit, some sketches are super easy to work with and some are more challenging to me and this one I struggled with big time. I walked away for a few days and came back to it and wow it came together in literally about 15 minutes, the longest part was colouring the flowers!

Products Used:

Paper:
- Something Fierce
- Ballerina and White Daisy card stock

Stamp:
- I Heart Us card making

Ink:
- Black Memento
- Ballerina, Bluebird, Carolina, Lemon, Pewter, and Willow

Embellishments:
- Clear Sparkles

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. We would love to see your take on this sketch! Link up by clicking here!

Until next time, happy crafting!
