Thinking of You - The Paper Players

Another post this week! I found out about the Paper Players challenge and thought I would play along. This week is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. I did yellow, embossing, and slimline. I got to play with the new Sprigs and Leaves bundle to create the background and the August Stamp of the Month, Goodbye Isn't Forever.

Sweetest Little Things - SOTM Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the first blog hop of 2022! Tonight we are featuring the CTMH Stamp of the Month for January which is titled Sweet Little Things. If you are joining me from Michelle Loncar from Show and Tell with Michelle you are in the right place! If you are starting here with me, welcome to go through the blog hop all you need to do is click the links at the bottom of each blog post to see how my fellow consultants are using this stamp of the month.

Now onto the project! I created this card using the Sweet Little Things stamp set. I had no plan in mind, I just played with it and and did what felt right. I wanted to keep it simple. I used Peach card stocks and scored the paper every 1/2 inch and sanded it to bring out the distressed look. I added some of the Jan-Feb Mix in paper which is matted in White Daisy card stock. I used a blending brush to add Glacier (for the sky) and Sage (for the grass) with blending brushes.

I stamped the bunnies in our Intense Black ink as I was not sure if I was going to use alcohol markers or water colour pencils, I opted for a softer look and went with the water colour pencils. After colouring the sweet bunnies I fussy cut them out and used foam tapes popping them up. I let the card sit for a day or so to see if I felt it needed more but I really liked the simplicity of this one.

Outdoor Borders - June SOTM

Hello and welcome to the June Stamp of the Month blog hop. Tonight we have 16 Close to my Heart consultants showcasing artwork featuring the June Stamp of the Month...Outdoor Borders. This stamp set is available starting today and runs through the end of June, so if you want it, do not delay! If you are joining me from Show and Tell with Michelle, welcome! If you are starting here at my blog, welcome!

May be an image of 1 person and text            May be an image of text that says 'CIOSE to HearT Independent Consultant Happy camper Back nature tonSnvw Scenic view over the hill and through the woods ENJOY the RIDE ENJOY the RIDE guud STAY COOL LOVE summEN CATCHING VACAY modi hello summer Sweet summer days hello summer Sweet summer days Outdoor Borders Set f9 Available during June 2021'

Now onto the fun and artwork. I had a few minutes in between workshops and decided to use up some of my Hillside Cottage leftovers to create a layout. I went looking for some summery outdoor pictures I have to get scrapped to use this stamp set on. I know this set will work great for my cottage photos but I had none to scrapbook. I did however, have photos from a local event called Ribfest. This is not something I ever knew of before moving to Canada but it is a big BBQ weekend event that rotates through the province (and possibly the country) through the summer with rib and BBQ vendors competing against each other for the best ribs. I personally hate ribs, anything attached to a bone I can not eat but my husband and kids are crazy for them so I suffer in silence, eating a pulled pork sandwich while they all chow down, it is definitely a highlight of the summer for them!

I did not use the stamp set as a border. If you look above the flower cluster on the left page to the left of the title you will see a stamped image saying "summer days" that was from the border saying "sweet summer days". On the right page if you look at the 3 photos that are 3 X 3 you you will see some word bubbles and such, they are small (sorry) in the photo below I have added arrows to highlight where the bubbles I used are. Going left right across in the picture of my daughter chomping on a rib is "good vibes" stamped in Paprika, in the middle towards the upper right corner is "Summer Love" stamped in Blue Belle, and in the lower right corner of the right photo is "fun" stamped in Flamingo.

I have also added the "hello summer" with the sun on a banner/pennant coming off the right edge of the right page. I stamped this in Intense black ink and coloured the sun with the Citrus Blend Tri-Blend marker.

With All My Love - SOTM Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the October Stamp of the Month blog hop! Tonight myself and 19 CTMH Makers (consultants) from all over will be showcasing artwork using the With All My Love stamp of the month to showcase some ideas for how you can use this beautiful stamp set! If you are joining me from Miss Carrie's Creations, welcome, isn't her work fabulous? If you are starting here I am glad you are joining us!

Now onto my artwork! I got creative today with the Lovely paper pack that is in our Core Idea book.

Happy Anniversary:
I made this card for my mother in law and/or her friends. I have become a supplier of cards for her and her friends amid COVID-19. This card was created using the Lovely paper pack with Sage and Ballerina card stock. I stamped the flowers in Black ink on White Daisy card stock and coloured them in with a make up type brush to get a faint and kinda messy look. I stamped the Happy Anniversary in Evergreen and added some retired Pearls to finish off the look. The scallop design is from the Decorative Borders Thin Cut.

Happy Birthday:
Again I used the Lovely papers and added a Sage Scallop piece using the Decorative Borders Thin Cuts. I fussy cut the flowers out after colouring them with my water colour pencils and blending with a water blending pen. I added some retired Pearls and some Silver shimmer trim to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, I welcome any and all feedback. If you would like help with purchasing any of the products mentioned my post today, please contact your local CTMH consultant. Sending Smiles - H2H Photo Inspiration

Hello and Happy Monday to you! I come to you today with another design for the H2H challenges design team and this time it is a photo inspiration challenge. Use the photo below to inspire your project in any way.

Here is the photo for inspiration:

And here is what I was created:

I was inspired by the soft colours of the card, it was almost muted colours to me and I love Green so I ran with it but using Mint for a softer look. I used a sponge to sponge on Mint, Ballerina and Wisteria and then used the Stamp of the Month, Floral Celebration to stamp the flowers in black. I second generation stamped some ink spots in Wisteria behind the sentiment. I finished it off with a scallop thin cut border and some White Dots.

Floral Celebration - SOTM BH

Hello and welcome to the August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! Tonight Close to My Heart consultants from all over the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will be coming together to showcase artwork they created using the August Stamp of the Month - Floral Celebration.

If you are joining me from Gina Brandstetter, welcome, you are in the right place and if you are starting here..welcome!

Tonight I have two cards I created using this stamp set. I love how I got two completely different looks just by changing the colours I used. I used both of our current paper packs Timber and Summer Vibes, I actually used some scraps I had...I love when I can use up my scraps!

Card 1 - Timber.
I used the wood grain paper from the Timber paper pack and paired it with the large bracket thin cut. My ink colours are some of my favourites, Ruby, Saffron, Fern and Sapphire. And just added a few clear sparkles to finish it off.

Card 2 - Summer Vibes
I used some Glacier, Candy Apple and White Daisy card stock. On this one I random stamped the flowers in Candy Apple, Lemonade, Glacier, Nectarine, and Smoothie. I stamped the sentiment in Black ink to help ground it a bit. I used some red Shimmer Trim, the scalloped oval is from the Stitched Together Cricut Collection.

It is now time to "hop" on over to the very talented Colleen Dewis
Until next time, happy crafting!
