Thank you Delivery! - AHSC 367

There is so much going on in our world right now, we are all struggling in different ways and through different things so it is my goal to try to spread a bit of joy and appreciation where possible. Of course in the middle of all of this of course I need to replace my washer and dryer...perfect timing! So we do have a delivery scheduled for this coming Friday to have them delivered and installed. I made this card (two of them) for the delivery guys to let them know I appreciate them and the essential service they provide, being able to do laundry with a family of 5 is essential!

Happy Birthday - H2H Stripes

Hello! Happy Monday! Can you believe another weekend is come and gone. I am not sure where you are reading this from but here in my neck of the woods in Canada we have been in semi lockdown mode for 7 weeks now...7 weeks stuck at home with the kiddos. I love them to death but yeah we all have a bit (ok a lot) of cabin fever at this point. The upside to being stuck at home is crafting time...

The challenge this week from H2H is all about Stripes! I was all over this one, I absolutely love this striped paper from the Seas the Day paper pack, it is my favourite and I want to Hoard it all and just buy more and more of this. For this card, I stepped out of my comfort zone, I do not typically stamp right onto patterned paper but I wanted the stripes to show through. I also tried something new with the Sapphire Crochet thread and embellished it with 3 of the large Seas the Day dots.

Products Used:

Paper:
- Seas the Day
- Peach card stock

Embellishments
- Sapphire Crochet Thread
- Seas the Day Dots

Ink:
- Sapphire

Stamp

Keep on Swimming - AHSC 362

Hello! I hope you are all safe and that everyone is doing well in your friends and family circle. We are in some trying and very unusual times right now, everything about every day is heavy, sad, and unprecedented to say the least. I have made it a challenge for me to start flooding my loved ones with mail, for as long as mail is delivered.... I am hoping to spread some good will and cheer along the way...

And that is where this card comes from for the AHSC design team today. Keep on swimming...it is punny but fighting, we just need to keep on moving through this as best we can and for many people we love being cooped up, possibly alone is hard so if you can, send them so love in the mail to remind them that are important and that you are thinking of them.

Hello There - H2H Challenges

Hello There! How are we all doing these days? I hope you are hanging in there if you are practicing Social Distancing as we are here. It is a challenge for the kids, they want to be with their friends so bad but they are doing pretty good under these challenging times. For me, this is perfect...stay home...scrapbook (in-between chores, housework, cooking, entertaining kids, etc.)

Our challenge this week is paper tearing. This is a challenge for me as I live by clean lines, straight edges and want everything perfect. But I did tear a bit off the mint piece to add some visual interest.

I did this card with the message in the bottle because that is how I feel right now, isolated. It seems a bit weird to not seeing people every day, I can still chat, text, call, and "see" them on social media but it is just not the same so the message in a bottle just kinda stuck with me with all that is going on right now.

I have a fun card for you today as our theme this week is "So Punny" and is all about the Puns and I just love a good punny card, they are my favourite so the hardest thing about this challenge was deciding which Punny stamp set I was going to use!

I decided to use my Seas the Day card making kit and while it comes with some adorable cards, I decided to put my own spin on this one. I tried to create waves with the Borders Thin Cuts and I cut some clouds from the Cricut Artiste collection.

Paper:
- Seas the Day
- Sapphire, Smoothie, and White Daisy card stock

Thin Cuts:
- Z4241 Decorative Borders
- Z3657 Seas the Day Cardmaking Workshop

Stamp:
- Z3657 Seas the Day Cardmaking Workshop
